soup.io bookmarklet: Firefox XSS problems
Anyone else having trouble with the soup.io bookmarklet, Firefox and the XSS protection?
This will result in occasionally requiring you to do an "unsafe reload" of the page (as per info bar), and might stop the JavaScript in its tracks (prompting you the "a script on the page seems to be hanging" dialogue.)

“ Densha Otoko (電車男, Densha Otoko? translated as Train Man) is a Japanese movie, television series, manga, novel, and other media, all based on the purportedly true story of a 23-year-old otaku (Japanese geek) who intervened when a drunk man was harassing several women on a train. The otaku ultimately begins dating one of the women. ”— http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Densha_Otoko

Endlessly scrolling through soup's friends of friends page is scarily meditative. Reposting here, reacting there, it's like a brain feed.

Zoho No Longer Requires Accounts. Sign In With Your Yahoo Or Google ID
Office productivity suite Zoho removed the need to create an account to use their services today - you can now log in to any of their products using a Google or Yahoo account. Sign in is completed via Yahoo’s and Google’s authentication APIs.
I asked Zoho evangelist Raju Vegesna why they don’t just adopt OpenID to handle authentications instead. He says they will, soon, but also want to...

Notifications and @-Replies
We're happy to introduce notifications today: There's now a feed of all the stuff happening on Soup that's relevant to you: Who has added you as a friend? Who's reposting or reacting to your posts?
You can also use this feature to alert your friends of specific posts that might be of interest to them: If you include @friendname in the text of any post, we will let them know in their notifications.
We hope you'll find this useful. We'll keep improving the UI and the subscription options for this feature over the next few weeks.

The Ubuntu Unleashed blog has an excellent guide to the ins and outs of the Uncomplicated Firewall (ufw), a new feature in Ubuntu Linux 8.04, or Hardy Heron, that makes it easy to control the traffic into and out of your system. While turning on the firewall is as simple as typing sudo ufw enable, you can do a lot more with ufw, including:
